I am one of the pregnancy test addictor! I planned to test daily after ovulation. When it comes to which brand to buy; 1.) wider strips 2.) pink dye 3.) cost. I had used many other strip brands before (pregnant total of 4 times). So, wider strip is a must. I am well aware that hcg strip tests are not as sensitive as to frer, so I never expected and compared them to frer because it is not fair to the product.I normally started testing around 7-8dpo with frer. Because I know if it turned positive, it would be on frer at that soon. So, this recent pregnancy (5/2022), first positive very very faint line presented on frer at 10dpo but! as soon as I saw the line on frer, I then used this strip as well (see pictures, first positive was 5/13/22). This brand also showed vvfl.I then tested everyday to record line progression. I also used another strip brand so I can see comparison. While this brand red dye color is not as dark as another brand, but it is well consistent in increasing/progressing of color. Another brand is not consistent at all, as the day go by, the line somewhat got lighter then darker intermittently. I know people say the line consistency means nothing, but I love testing and love to see progression in line no matter what. It makes me feel good as it assures me that my hcg is rising. Believe me there was time when I had a chemical pregnancy that the line didn’t progress and got lighter and lighter so that told me something right?
